Community Parking Program

Breadcrumb

UCR is committed to a culture of engagement and has identified community connection as a core pillar of the campus Strategic Plan. In support of this commitment, the Community Parking Program was created to welcome the public to campus and encourage participation in UCR’s academic, cultural, student, and outreach events. To further support community access, central campus funding is available to provide complimentary parking for community visitors attending events that are free and open to the campus and general public.

Program Overview

The Community Parking Program is intended to remove parking costs to encourage community participation. It provides complimentary general parking for community members attending eligible UCR events that are free and open to the public. Events that qualify may receive the following:

  • Designate parking lot for general parking
  • Provide unique URL to complimentary virtual parking permits
  • Provide standard event signage to direct guests to general parking (add pic of standard vs custom signage)

Eligibility & Requirements

To qualify, events must fall into one of the following categories:

  • Colloquia, symposia, and lectures
  • Student recruitment and outreach programs
