Short-term Disabled Parking is located in parking lots throughout the campus. These spaces are lined in blue and clearly marked.

A Disabled Person Parking Placard or a Disabled Parking License Plate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles alone is not a substitute for a valid UCR parking permit. To utilize disabled parking spaces, faculty, staff, students and visitors are required to have a valid Red, Blue, or Gold parking permit linked to their vehicle's license plate and display a Disabled Person Parking Placard or have a valid Red, Blue, or Gold parking permit linked to their vehicle's DP license plate issued to them by the DMV. A temporary UCR permit may be purchased through the ParkMobile app by using Zone #2474 or through the online portal. Signage is also posted around the disabled parking area that contains a QR code with instructions on how to purchase a temporary UCR permit. Permits and/or placards must be clearly visible to parking enforcement officers or your vehicle will be cited.

If a marked disabled space is not available you may park in any available unreserved space provided you have a valid Red, Blue, or Gold parking permit linked to your vehicle's license plate and your disabled placard or DP license plate are in clear view.

Transportation Services makes every effort to establish convenient parking spaces for the disabled. The number and type of spaces are determined in accordance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and specifications. The spaces are normally located in parking areas close to building entrances.
