Considering an E-Bike? Now’s your chance to find a great deal! Through the UC E-Bike Purchase Program, UC students, staff, and faculty are eligible for discounted pricing on multiple styles of bikes through four nationally recognized vendors. The program offers an affordable and eco-friendly transportation alternative to all UC campuses.
Available styles include commuter bikes, cargo bikes, and folding bikes. Discounts range from 15%-60% off retail price. You will need to register with your UCR email to review each company’s catalog and can purchase a bike directly from their website:
Safety comes first! New riders should understand the bike’s controls, adhere to traffic regulations, and wear proper safety gear. For training and safety information, the California Bike Coalition has links to three online E-Bike training courses. And keep in mind that electric assist should never be used when riding within the center of campus.
